2 weeks ago, our 6 yr old Grant combi oil boiler was leaking water and stopped working. Our regular service engineer told us the jacket had rusted through and we would need to replace the whole boiler. This would have cost 3,800. Another reputable engineer offered much the same opinion as the manufacturer does not replace the affected part.Richard Maguire of RWM did not agree and after careful investigation, identified a much more cost effective solution, namely dismantle and remove the part, get it repaired by a steel fabricator. He would then re-fit the part and repair any other damage necessary.Happily we followed Richard's advice and we now have our heating and hot water back. He had done a thoroughly professional job in properly identifying the problem, and delivering the best solution at a fraction of the cost of replacement, just in time for Xmas!
