GREAT SHOP & GREAT SERVICE!What a lovely shop, run by a lovely couple who are passionate about all things HI FI. I left them with a tricky repair made more difficult by the age of the CD player in question. The owner suggested he might have to source another similar player and rob the laser to get ours going again, which has obvious pitfalls, but we left it with him, and to our surprise he found a NEW LAZER at a very reasonable price and fittied it accordingly. Delighted. Can not wait to try it out.Highly recommended for all things HI FI, second hand Vinyl, and music lessons. Also gives honest unbiased advise, which is a treat.Lastly, the shop always is bright and sunny. Will return soon.Chas and Anne.Somerset.
What a fantastic shop...went in to see if my old amplifier could be fixed and within 2 weeks I picked it up in full working order the owner done an amazing job..while I was there I had the chance to look through the vinyl I was looking for something in particular to which the owners wife was very helpful and looked with me...i will definitely be coming back..thanks guys for all your help
BUYER BEWARE..POLICE INFORMED...I took a small lamp to be re-wired and was told it would cost 15.00 payment was requested upfront. Three chasing telephone calls later ( on the third call I was Instructed in a less than friendly tone to wait for the owner to contact me). I then received a telephone call to from the owner to say he would not be in a position to re-wire, when I asked about the 15.00 I was told NO refund this was his assessment fee!! this supposed assessment consisted of looking at the lamp!!! and keeping my money. later that day I went to collect the lamp and asked the owner why he felt he was entitled to keep my money when my contract was for a re-wire and no service had been given. A difficult conversation was had with the owner and his partner/wife where they refused to offer any customer care in fact quite the opposite., when I told them both I was never told about this supposed assessment/hourly rate and felt this was unacceptable ( SCAM)POLICE INFORMED. I was ordered to leave the shop.My advice would be BUYER BEWARE. The actual star rating would be ZERO but you have to tick a star to enable posting.. Response to these disgusting accusations...I have been a professional person who have owned and managed my own businesses for years. I suggest the only weed on the premises was the proprietor.To clarify, i was told the fee was to FIX the lamp, NEVER TOLD IT WAS A QUICK WAY TO MAKE MONEY ( see prior review from another scammed customer) . I reiterate BUYER BEWARE... A LIAR AND VERY UNPLEASANT PERSON. I have contacted the police to investigate these outrageous, defamatory and totally untrue response.
